What We Do
The Ignited Research Collaborative (IRC) was launched in 2010 to support high school science teachers committed to increasing the rigor and frequency of science inquiry and research in their classrooms, schools, and districts. Inquiry methods are shown to reduce the achievement gap in STEM subjects for underserved students. In IRC, teachers collaborate over the course of the school year, learning best-practices from skilled inquiry instructors and implementing those methodologies in their classrooms.
