Requirements

• Districts: Santa Clara County
• Position: Middle School STEM teachers from Title 1 schools
• Location: Hybrid – on Zoom and in-person at RAFT‘s makerspace and chartered bus to Monterey

Learn from ocean experts, experiment with hands-on activities, and tour Hopkins Marine Station to learn about well-paid careers available to today’s students. Develop a lesson to bring back to your school, and earn $1,100.

This week is funded by a grant from NOAA’s Ocean Acidification Program and will feature hands-on activities to engage middle school students in local environmental actions along with an exploration day at RAFT.
